Chad Miles is a former contributing editor for Defense Watch Magazine and former contributor to The Michigan Journal. He is currently the editor and publisher of Hearken the Watchmen. As a political blogger he has written regular postings for Right Michigan, Tech Republican, Hip Hop Republican, and Michigan Minority Report. Chad is an avid student of the old and new testaments of the Bible and has a keen interest in biblical prophecy. He is currently working on writing his first book.
As a former political advisor specializing in technology issues, he has consulted with numerous candidates at the local, state and federal levels. In 2006 Chad ran for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in Michigan’s 14th Congressional District. While the campaign was ultimately unsuccessful, the experience was invaluable. Chad has been involved in the technology business since 1997 and is the founder and owner of the Detroit based technology consulting firm Magic Box, LLC.
A native of Northeast Ohio, Chad volunteered for service in the Army in 1990. He served seven years on active duty with the 82nd Airborne Division, 2nd Infantry Division and the 5th Special Forces Group. His Military service as an infantryman and intelligence analyst took him around the world with service in the countries of Jordan, Egypt, South Korea and Panama. Chad is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.
Chad is a graduate of the Non-Commissioned Officer’s Academy at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina and the U.S. Army Intelligence School. Additionally, he holds a degree in political science with a minor in history from the University of Michigan – Dearborn. Chad lives in Metro Detroit with his wife Renée and their five children.
